OBSERVISION
Observision is a powerful in-store filming technique that captures shopping behaviour ‘live’ in-store.
A key challenge when understanding shoppers is that much of what shoppers do is unconscious. Therefore a holistic understanding of shopping behaviour requires a measurement of their actual behaviour, as well as insight into the thought processes and logic behind this. One simply can’t ask people to tell us how they behave; because the chances are what they claim is very different to what they actually do.
Observision uses a combination of video observation and in-store interviews to provide a complete and insightful picture of what is happening in-store. It measures actual shopper behaviour and marries this with shopper perceptions of the retail offer.
These insights are used to assist with Point Of Purchase strategies and tactics.
